If there are no stars, there won’t be any beauty in the sky. If there is no difference of opinions there won’t be any creative and innovative ideas. Similarly, if there is no Annual Function in a school, there won’t be such an apropos opportunity for the young and dynamic children to uphold the pride of the institute, to catalogue the challenges they face, the endeavours they have made and the success they achieved and to show what they were, what they are and what they will be. Students at Zydus School for Excellence-Godhavi just proved to be the fortunate ones who got to showcase their talent at the Annual Day of the Academic Year 2014-15 on the 23rd Day of August 2014.

To make the event more exuberant we had the presence of the world renowned music icon Mrs. Amita Dalal, who gave us the privileged of becoming our chief guest. The nouveau theme of the event was “Incredible India”. It was D-Day for the students as they had been practicing since July to perform at the ‘magnificent’ Tagore Hall.

The Annual Day had been divided into two segments -tiny tots of classes I to V performed graciously first, and then there came the students of classes VI to IX to perform enthusiastically.

There were ten selected states which the students chose- Goa, Maharashtra, Jammu & Kashmir, Manipur, Assam, Mahro Rangeelo Rajasthan, Jashn-e-Punjab, Sonar Bangla, Garvi Gujarat, Enchanting Tamil Nadu

What a country India is! Tough all states are entirely different from each other in terms of living, dance, songs etc, but still in what coalesce the people are! Hence, the students performed drama, dance and sang for their states respectively.

Parents were obsequious and just wanted to get a glimpse of the event captured. Seeing their child’s innate talent their feelings were ecstatic.

The students on the other hand were filled with nervousness as it was the first time they had to face as big an audience of 1000+  people, it was an arduous job, but they performed so tremendously that loud cheers and claps could be heard from the audience.

At the end of the performances Mrs. Amita Dalal enlightened us with her words and left no stone unturned to eulogize the event, she also reminisced her Annual Day experiences.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms.Mansi Dave, Cultural Co-coordinator of our school who had shown tremendous hard work and made the event auspicious.

Next, was the “Grand Finale” and as the title suggests it was grand and made the parents rejoice yet again.
