The students from Class I and II of Zydus School for Excellence, Godhavi celebrated its Grandparents Day on November 15, 2014. The Students of ZSE flocked to celebrate the Grandparents Day and faced the throng of parents with an excitement to entertain them. The venue sparkled with the smiles of tiny tots reflecting the shine in the eyes of their eager and proud Grandparents.  The parents were genially welcomed by Miss Jenisha and Master Vansh from Grade II Narmada. The event was anchored by Ms Hima Ranjitkumar and Ms Divya Sadewra.Two beautiful charts were gifted to the School from Grandparents of Dharv Surti from I Narsinh.  These charts were shown to all the grandparents present in the Foyer and were appreciated for the efforts put in by the grandparents.

The celebration started with a dance performed by students of class I which left everybody mesmerized and was appreciated by one and all. Students were very happy and enthusiast to dance on the tune of “ Lakdi ki Kathi.” Vibrant music, dance, breathtaking colours and highly coordinated movements promptly set the tone and mood of the school Foyer. The cultural extravaganza was interspersed with the most important event of the morning. The  “Best Couple competition” of the Grandparents along with their little ones.  They walked the ramp with confidence and enthusiasm. A few grandparents decided on the colour of their costume. They matched the colour of their outfits with their kids. A few grandmas also commented that their kids had selected the dress to be worm for them. They really walked in style and fashion. One of them brought “karaoke” of the song “Yeh to Sach hai ki Bhagwan hi” and he sung the whole song live on the stage. They had so many things to share and a few had tears in their eyes as they expressed about their happiness to be a part of “Grand Parents Day”. All the grandparents participated wholeheartedly in the event. After the ramp walk, Grandparents were awarded with the “ Best Couple” for the day. The winners were given a small batch and a chocolate as a token of appreciation.The next event for the Day was “Antakshari”.  The whole event was anchored by Ms Khubi Vashi. It was divided into three rounds. First round was standard Antakshari. The next round was “Bujo to Jaane” where grandparents were given a particular word written on small chits and they were supposed to sing a song which had that word in it. And last but not the least was “Visual Round” where grandparents were shown different clips of actors/ films on the projector and they had to sing a song related to it.

            A few of the grandparents also danced on the song “ Aey Meri Zohra zabi” from the movie Waqt. It was a delight to see grandparents’ enthusiasm and zest. After “Ramp Walk” and “Antakshari” grandparents moved to the classes of their grandchildren. Here, they participated for “Best out of Waste” competition.

  After all the activities and competitions were carried out, a Thanks card and a chocolate were given to all the Grandparents by their grandchildren as a token of   lo love Best three from each class were awarded with a small batch and a chocolate for “Best out of waste” competition. To sum up it was an exciting and thrilling day for the Grandparents as well as their little ones.
