The wide branch dealing with numbers is Mathematics. Requirement of math was raised when early humans wanted to keep a record and calculate number of animals killed and started using Tally marks. Many problems arose for counting, so symbols represented each quantity that was formed which came to be known as numbers. These numbers then combined with astronomy and became a very essential part of our life. Today Math is used in our everyday lives. Math is the difference between truth and falsity, it is the connection of knowledge and humans, as without it knowledge is incomplete. World renowned mathematicians like Aryabhatta, Galileo, Albert Einstein, and Isaac Newton gave us concepts to solve problems. Aryabhatta stated that the circumference of the circle could be calculated. Still 20 questions which have been asked by mathematicians are a source of debate and are unsolved. Hope one of our young brains solves them soon. Vedang Laik |
