The domain of sports has the vast potential to “better” the game of life itself. Besides promoting physical fitness, it lays importance on healthy lifestyle and helps in developing social skills. Sports play a pivotal role in instilling among our impressionable learners values that would hold them in good stead throughout their lives, such as, discipline, perseverance, team spirit, sportsmanship etc.

Undoubtedly then, Sports is an integral part of the life of each Bal Bharatian. At school, each learner is expected to play at least two games; should be able to swim and cycle; and has also achieved the minimum Physical Fitness program that has been formulated for the learners. Besides, a comprehensive record of Medical and Fitness status each, of students is regularly maintained and communicated to the parents. It is hoped that these efforts would motivate our students to maintain a healthy lifestyle throughout. The success of our students in Sports bears testimony to the school’s endeavours in encouraging sporting talent as well as our students indomitable will and skill to win   .

Sports Day

ANNUAL SPORTS DAY – Tavisi

“The glory of sports comes from dedication , determination and desire”

 The Annual Sports Day “Tavisi” was held on November 29th, 2014, at the school ground in a frolicsome atmosphere. The event was marked by a string of spectacular performances presented by the little champs, who were brimming with enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The grand opening ceremony was graced by the presence of school officials, the Principal Ms. Meenakshi Mehta.  Sankriti Gupta, the Sports Captain of the school welcomed the gathering. The march past by the houses that followed exhibited discipline and hardcore practice of the students. The Sports Captain Master  Harsh Thakkar administered the solemn oath to the house captains and the participants. The principal officially declared the sports meet open, and released balloons symbolizing the vibrant hopes of the sporting students that were flying high. The sports torch was carried by the sports winners. Then there was the drill display presented by the students that kept the spectators spellbound. The long awaited athletics events were held which included track events, throw events and so on. The children participated enthusiastically in all of them. The prizes were given away by the principal, parents and the other officials. The Chetna house bagged the overall championship. The best athlete trophy was bagged by Nisarg Shah and Anouha Tripathi among senior Students. And Aaditya Savalia and Apporva Mishra bagged the Best Athlete Trophy from the junior section. The event came to an end successfully with the vote of thanks, leaving thrilling memories in the hearts of each and everyone present there.
