The importance of sports in the life of a young student is invaluable and goes much further than the basic answer that "it keeps kids off the streets." It does in fact keep kids off the streets, but it also instils lessons that are essential in the life of a student athlete. Sports play a pivotal role in the makeup of a young athlete, especially in the middle school to high school years where student athletes are much more mature and mentally developed. Identifying a Potential Long Hurdler

In order to obtain the optimal hurdling technique, one must first learn the proper running techniques. It's important that the runner stays on the balls of his or her feet for the entirety of the race. This race deals with jumping over the hurdles which is not only a sport, but also encourages the young minds towards crossing all the hurdles even of their lives.

In our school we had an Inter House competition of hurdle race. In the hurdle race we had eight winners from class 3, 4 & 5 each. There were 24 winners in this hurdle race. All the children performed very well.

It was a great success in all with the contribution of all.
